01 / INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Robot charging without exposed power contacts

Contact wear, oil, water, dust and alignment problems can interrupt charging and add maintenance work. We design contactless power connections around the robot’s docking process and operating environment.

01

Contact wear

Transfer power without exposed charging electrodes or repeated electrical contact at the dock.

02

Docking and alignment

Design coils, positioning tolerance and controls around the robot’s docking movement.

03

Charging between tasks

Coordinate power transfer with autonomous docking and charging opportunities in the robot’s work cycle.

Power, alignment tolerance and environmental protection are specified for each application.

Industrial applications

Industrial mobile robots

Charging interfaces and power integration for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).

Outdoor autonomous delivery

Docking and charging connections for outdoor delivery equipment, with alignment and environmental protection designed for the application.

Energy and industrial inspection

Power connections for inspection equipment in oil and gas, power and mining applications, where oil, water, dust and vibration affect the design.

APPLICATIONS & DEMONSTRATIONS

30 W IPAD KIT

Wireless charging and screen sharing for iPad

The magnetic stand charges the iPad while mirroring its screen on an external display. Power and data travel wirelessly between the iPad and the stand; an HDMI cable connects the stand to the display.

02 / CONNECTION TECHNOLOGY

How the wireless connection works

Power passes between the transmitter and receiver through magnetic coupling. We design the coils, power circuits and controls to suit the equipment and its docking arrangement.

01

Magnetic resonant power transfer

Magnetic resonant coupling transfers power between the transmitter and receiver without exposed electrical contacts. We design the coils, magnetic circuit and power electronics for the required power and operating distance.

02

Docking and alignment

We design coil layouts, magnetic components, shielding and controls together, and assess positional offsets and equipment interfaces for the intended docking process.

03

Programmable power output

Digital controls set output voltage and current to suit the equipment. We coordinate these controls with the equipment’s operating states and system interfaces.
